What is the swelling in the back of my neck at the base of my skull and also swollen where I had a bone spur removed in left ear?
I am scared to death because of the light-head,dizzy,nausea,blurry vision, but most of all, the swelling at the base at the back of my neck and on my left temple(the swelling also on my temple felt like a golf ball). Why am I feeling this? I am also having numbness on all of the left side of my face, down my neck into my shoulder and even my left arm was numb. It is just that it was swelled so much and having that with all the symptoms in the first line was just too much.I almost went to the ER,but stuck it out and am still here, but feel disoriented, eyes feel like they hurt in the sockets. They did say on my last report and I quote,"There is a small tangled area of Vessels in the left cerebullar hemisphere inferiorly w/no associated FLAIR signal or evidence of vasogenic edema. There is one dominant vessel extending from this.",which has to be the venous angioma that I have, that they feel I could've been born with(I don't know, I never have hurt there before and had any swelling and I do now.The thing that grabbed my attention was seeing a lesion following the quote above. How could I have a lesion and they not tell me @ it?I have found myself closing my left eye and sometimes not knowing it.I just want to know why they don't take my symptoms serious because I feel like I am dying. My skin burns, body aches, neck feels like a vice-grip stays on it and my hair feels like it has been pulled and it sore from it everyday.I am having some pains in my temple that are

Ask your primary care physician for a referral to a neurologist. It sounds like the emergency room did some imaging studies like an MRI or they wouldn't have been able to conclude, "There is a small tangled area of vessels in the left cerebullar hemisphere inferiorly w/no associated FLAIR signal or evidence of vasogenic edema. There is one dominant vessel extending from this."
FLAIR means fluid attenuated inversion recovery. MRIs are very complex but basically FLAIR sequences are used to more easily detect lesions. The good news is your report says they found no evidence of lesions or edema. The following website explains FLAIR :http://www.mr-tip.com/serv1.php?type=db1&dbs=Fluid%20Attenuation%20Inv ersion%20Recovery
Before you go to your neurologist's appointment, go to the hospital where you were seen and request the MRI films or a disk with the images on it. You will need to take those with you to your appointment. The neurologist will want to see those pictures himself, not just read the radiology report. There should be no cost involved in obtaining the MRI images and they should be able to burn the disk while you wait.

I COME ACROSS THIS AFTER I HAD POSTED IT SO LONG AGO. I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR AN ANSWER TO WHY I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE...FOR SUCH A LONG TIME NOW...AND I KNOW THERE IS A REASON OR AN ANSWER...TO WHY. I AM FIGHTING TO BE A NORMAL PERSON AGAIN...IF, SOMEONE WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ME...AND REALLY TAKE ME SERIOUSLY. I NEED HELP BEFORE THIS IS IRREVERSIBLE OR DOES PERMANENT DAMAGE.
THINGS HAVE ALREADY PROGRESSED TO WHERE MY LEFT ARM HAS BEEN PARALYZED AND WHERE I CAN'T EVEN CLOSE MY HAND OR MAKE A FIST. ALSO, I GET SOMETHING THAT CAUSES MY HAND TO TIGHTEN UP AND FEEL RIGID. I LOOKED IT UP AND IT IS CALLED A CONTRACTURE. I JUST KNOW IT IS A MISERABLE FEELING.
MY NECK, ON THE SIDES ARE TIGHT AND THEY STAY SWOLLEN ENOUGH TO KEEP IT SORE. I CAN'T STAND UP LONG EITHER NOW...OR MY HEART WILL RACE. BUT, THE SYMPTOM THAT I HATE MOST...WOULD BE THE TREMORS. I CONSTANTLY HAVE THIS SHAKING FEELING OR TREMBLING THAT COMES FROM THE MIDDLE OF MY CHEST. MY WHOLE BODY SHAKES LIKE IT FEELS FRIGID, BUT IN ALL ACTUALITY...I AM EITHER HOT OR HOTTER.
I DO HAVE TROUBLE BREATHING...AT TIMES, BUT I DO SMOKE AND BELIEVE...WHEN, I STOP...I WILL FEEL BETTER THERE. I AM WORKING ON THAT, BUT IT IS HARD SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER VICE FOR PLEASURE. I AM STUCK IN BED, CAN'T GO AND DO AS I PLEASE, BUT I AM MAKING IT AND FIGHTING...TO GET TO THE FINISH LINE.
MY LEGS HARDLY EVER STOP ACHING, CRAMPING OR BURNING...SO, I AM MOSTLY CONFINED TO A BED...AND I AM TOO YOUNG...AND MY BOYS ARE DOING WITHOUT ME. :'(
LORD...PLEASE HELP ME FIND RESOURCES TO FIND THE ANSWER...SO, I CAN GET BACK TO LIVING AND LOVING LIFE...AGAIN.
